Walks and Meetings

The Friends of Brockadale Nature Reserve organise a number of walks throughout the summer and various meetings throughout the winter.

Walks

Walks are held on the first Wednesday of each month from May to August Everybody is welcome. Meet at the car park at 7:00pm for an evening walk through the best of the reserve.

Meetings

The dates for the next few meetings are:

Wed 5 March: ‘A walk on the wild side’ - Pip Seccombe of Doncaster Naturalists describes her local wildlife.

Meetings are held in the Mason's Arms, Bell Lane in Ackworth, starting at 7:30pm and lasting until approximately 9:30pm.

Working Parties


These are normally held on the third Sunday in each month. We meet at the main car park along Leys Lane, grid reference SE513173, at 9.45 a.m. and finish at about 12.30.
Please bring a couple of tools (eg spade, bow-saw etc.) and a pair of gloves as well as a flask of coffee. There are tasks for all levels of ability. If you need further details please contact: brock@gentian.plus.com

Sometimes weekday morning working parties are scheduled, when particular work needs to be carried out. These are irregular, but any help would be appreciated.
